I had such a blast photographing these two! They are so cute and so in love. These pictures say it all! I didn’t even want to pull my camera away from me, because they just kept LOVING on each other. They have a language of their own and I was lucky enough to have been given the chance to document it. Nereyda and Robert met in high school, then they lost touch. Years later they found themselves together at a wedding and the rest is history! What is meant to be will always come back, right?!
I cannot wait till their big day!
One of my favorites
How fun are they!?!
Alma and Johnny met 10 years ago at a coffee shop. That day as Johnny showed up with friends, Alma never expected it to go anywhere, but it did. After spending time with them I could see why they belong together. She is friendly, outgoing and affectionate. He is a gentleman, reserved and completely in love with her. She brings a soft and loving side out in him. Spending the day with them made me appreciate the couples that I photograph and the love they share even more. These two are good souls and I have enjoyed getting to know them as they plan their wedding. When I was driving away from our session, I looked in my rear view mirror and I saw Johnny taking off Alma’s shoes. Sweetheart, I tell you! She was in a fancy dress, we had just spent a long time on hiking trails and he will just do anything for her.
I look forward to their wedding when I get to document the day they become husband and wife!
My self-portrait this month is actually many photos of life with my iPhone and Instagram. February came and went! We were and still are busy settling into our new home. We are busy with our jobs, baby countdown, nursery and plenty of other life stuff. I am trying to stay in the present moment as I feel life is flying by me. Right now more then ever remembering little moments of everyday life is important to me. I take photos every day, not just for others but also for myself. I am telling my story, and right now this is a vulnerable time for me. I am pregnant for the first time and entering the unknown of parenthood. As much as I know change is good, I am still human and I get a little anxious. However, I feel blessed. Life is good every day and for that I am grateful. I cherish that I can remember this month for a time I took long hikes with Roxy, decorated our first house with Ivan, decided on paint color for the nursery, met and photographed awesome new clients, spent more time with family, celebrated love, and went to see one of my favorite photographers speak (Caroline Tran). AND the most exciting hallmark this month was spending time in front of the camera when Ivan and I took pictures. Thank you February for the joyful and loving moments!
I met Debbie and Daniel almost a year ago when they were planning their wedding. Little did they or I know what was in store for their big day. The adventure to come for them was quite a blessing but if anyone deserved this, it was them. They are good people! They are both teachers, and every summer they travel together to different countries to do charity work. They were planning a small wedding when 4 months before they were chosen to be part of David Tutera’s My Fair Wedding. He gave them the wedding they truly deserved. The theme was traveling teachers, the design for this wedding was amazing, but why wouldn’t it be! When Debbie called to tell me this news I thought she was calling to cancel the wedding, then when she told me the news I thought, OMG she is hiring one of their recommended photographer. She was calling to tell me the news and then to tell me that she still wanted me to document their big day. I was thrilled and so happy for them! I will remember this wedding forever. It was so unique. I will say it again, Debbie and Daniel are good people. They truly deserve this! Enjoy the Traveling Teachers wedding…

The programs were world maps, so cute.

Debbie, you are stunning!

I love how Debbie incorporated her Dad into her wedding day…

The couple and their guests had yet to see the reception area, this was right before the big revelation.

There were four lounge areas in the airport hanger, each one represented a different country.

Is she not the cutest?! She stole the show on the actual episode too!

This is why I love this couple… so fun!

I just love them!!

David Tutera did an amazing job, but so did the amazing vendors he brought in this vision. Seriously, if you are getting married consider them, they were fantastic and professional. It was an honor to work with them.
I don’t really know where to start with this post. I get a little emotional thinking about this new experience
Luckily, a couple of months ago I decided to invest in my growth as a photographer and this business. It was the best decision! I knew it would be a great learning experience but it was even better than I imagined. Everyday I strive to be better, I want to give my clients the best experience and I want them to looooove their images after their wedding day. This is why I knew investing in a photographer workshop was a must do in my journey. When I signed up, I really didn’t even consult with anyone (and I am an over thinker) I just registered and paid. Done and Done. Of course again, I knew a workshop with one of the best wedding photographer’s out there was going to be worth every penny and it was AND THEN SOME! Oh heeeey Jasmine Star! She not only inspires you and teaches you to be great at your photography and business, but I feel like in general she just inspires you to be better all around in everything you do in life. The same goes for her awesome partner in life JD, who is so willing to offer his help, willing to make this whole experience better for you. Most know I am a people person, I love people who teach, inspire and are go-getters of their dreams. She is that, so I knew a workshop to learn from this type of person was a great fit for me. Then you put me in the mix with other photographers that want to grow and be better, I was in heaven! I mean there is nothing better than to learn from all of these people. All of us are different, but our common ground was we have a dream of doing this and we are going after it. This group was awesome. They were ready to learn and help each other. Sometimes following a dream or goal is lonely. Many people don’t dare to go on that path, so you find yourself alone trying to prove yourself. It is not easy, this is why I am thankful for experiences like this because you realize you are not alone and you meet people who understand. I feel blessed to have experienced this with such a cool group of people. To all of them and the reason we came together Jasmine Star and JD, Thank you! I thank you for adding to my life and making me a better wedding photographer. Hugs!

Jasmine Star whaaaat!

This might be one of my favorites of the day…. LOOOOVE.
