I have a confession. Ay Dios! On Thursday, Jan. 6th I forgot to take a picture. I know! I failed at the picture of the day! After freaking out and finally realizing it’s going to be ok, I started again on Friday. My picture of the day, my blog, my adventure, my rules. Still I know I screwed up and I should have never forgotten. Anyway, I continue with my picture of the day for 364 days instead of 365. Cheap! 364 sounds lame.
Jan. 7th – Some of Roxy’s toys and Ivan’s sock HA!
Jan 8th - My friend Letty’s baby shower. I am beyond excited for her!
Jan. 9th – My Roxy’s first walk. Such a good girl!
Jan. 10 – Books on pitching
All from when Ivan played baseball. I love baseball! I look forward to my picture of the day from Opening Day at Dodger Stadium HA!
Jan. 11 – Last See’s Candy my hubby left me…such a sweetheart

One of my goals this year is a picture a day (thanks Robert for the challenge). It kind of tells a little about me with a picture! I love the idea
Jan 1st – Stroke of Midnight!
Jan. 3rd – If this is not motivation for the New Year, I don’t know what it!
Jan. 4th – My hubby is a great cook AND sticking to healthy foods is key for that body in the picture above HA!
Jan. 5th – One of my favorite reads…
I already love 2011 so much! Many new adventures are in store!
Feliz año nuevo! Two days in and I love it already HA!
2010 went by so fast. It was a great year. I have no reason to complain…I feel like 2010 was a year of growth for me. I learned how to let go and although I have always known God has a plan for me, this year more than ever have I trusted Him with every step. If things don’t go my way, I let go, trust God knows why and I don’t worry about it. It’s an amazing feeling. I believe there just may be another route to get where we want to get or there just may be some challenges in the way because they are needed in our life to build character. Things fall in to place when they are meant to happen. Yes, I have to go after the things I want in life, but if they don’t happen right away I don’t worry so much as to why. I am not sure if that makes sense, but to me it does in a big way.
2011 I am ready for you. The goals are written and I am ready for a new calendar year
I love this time of year. I feel like most people are in the same mindset, ready for some change, ready to try new things and hopeful of better things. Every year I make goals, but this year is different, I feel it. Usually I write the safe goals…goals that I know I will accomplish. For example, try yoga again and stick to it. I did that. See! Safe goal. BUT this year I wrote goals that scare me, goals that challenge me. It even makes me nerves just to think about them, yet I wrote them, so obviously I want to accomplish them. Something is pulling me in the direction of these goals and I am excited and scared at the same time.
2011 will be great! I know it.
FYI – if you are not feeling motivated watch OWN it will take you 5 minutes of watching to be motivated HA! Really. I am hooked. Smart women that Oprah.
Good Night!
I may not be a traditional girl all the time, but I am a huge fan of family traditions, especially around Christmas. For as long as I could remember, making tamales as a family has been a tradition. Obviously, I am Mexican
Every year, we plan a day and get together to make tamales….
We made my favorite, cheese and green chile
And we made a lot! So worth the hard work HA!!!
I am so happy we are able to pass on the tradition to the next generation…my niece Sophia ![]()

I don’t have a picture, because that would just be WRONG, but I had so many tamales on Christmas Eve. I did however go on a long run that morning
I was nervous as Robert and I arrived at UCLA. I honestly don’t know why, it was a beginner’s photography workshop. Let’s just say Robert sat there the first part of the class a little bored. HA! Well maybe not too bored, BECAUSE of course I sat there and asked him all the questions that would pop into my head. OMG! Now that I think of it, I was like the annoying girl at the movies that does not stop talking. Ay Dios.
I know how to shoot in manual now, it’s all I shoot. Do I know how to do it well? NO. NOT. YET. This is exactly why I took this workshop, TO LEARN. Can I just say, it was refreshing seeing all types of people there. From younger to older and from beginners to professional. Another reason why I love photography: No Egos. OK, maybe I have not met those people yet, but everyone I have encountered in this world of photography is willing to help everyone. SOOOOO MY TYPE OF WORLD!!
This is the best picture I took today…It just shows what I am naturally drawn to
This is my second favorite picture I took today. Only because I have been looking for boots about a month now and well this girl was wearing these awesome boots. I wanted to remember them so when I go look for them tomorrow
WHAT! I am a girl!
Ok, I am super tired. Buenas Noches. I am getting up to run 10 miles tomorrow.
