There are no words to describe how much love I have for this family, but I will try
. They mean so much to me. They are warm, giving and their faith is amazing. They inspire anyone around them to be better. Adriana and Rick have created a beautiful family. As they added each sweet girl to their lives their blessings grew. The girls are so fun! Each one has such a distinct personality; I just love watching them grow-up. Adriana is one of those moms who do it all. She goes from here to there with all of them and makes it look easy. I always think, how does she do it? You can’t help but to love her, because as busy as she is, she will always have time to help others. I believe this is one of the reasons Rick is so in love with her, because she keeps this family on track. They are just a great example of a family that has it all simply by giving back and loving the life they live. Each member is like a puzzle piece that comes together so perfectly. I’m smitten with them, especially those girls.

The thing I LOVE most about photography is the time I get with these people as I capture their special moments. I really get to step into their world and learn about them as a couple or as a family. I say this often, I know, but I love people. I love to learn about their story, their world. I’ve known Connie for a while, I know she is a wife and I know how cute her and her hubby are, but I never really knew about her family. How close she is to her sisters and how cool they are to hang with
. Connie and her sisters wanted to take a big family picture for their parents and document a bit of their lives. I soooo enjoyed watching them just hang out, my favorite was seeing how the husbands seem to have become like brothers themselves because of the bond the sisters have. The kids in the family are just adorable and fun. I am telling you I felt like I needed a password to get through the door and step into their world. They have like their own language
. I hope their parents LOVED the picture just as much as I loved hanging with this party of 10!

2012 is here! We are five days in… off to a great start, right
What do you want to DO this year? What is the one thing you would like to see happen? One DREAM you want to come true? It is clear to me what I want, to meet and connect with more people through photography. Growing this LilyRo world will continue in 2012! I’m excited! On Jan. 2nd, Ivan and I finally sat down to write out individual goals and then Lilivan goals. We don’t have anything too crazy on the list, well maybe a couple, but that is to discuss later
. There is a lot of fun ahead, but also challenging stuff. I am looking forward to it, all of it. We wrote down our goals and then went to a fancy dinner to discuss all the things we need to work on to make these goals come true. Join us, write your goals down (if you haven’t already), type them on your computer or in your phone. Let’s take a risk, let’s finally do something we have ALWAYS wanted to try! I encourage you. The more we help each other the better off we all are. We can DREAM and DO together!

This iPhone picture was the dessert we ate as we discussed 2012 DREAMS. I had to share because it was so good and because blog post are better with pictures of course
2011 was more than I expected. I shot more sessions and weddings than I thought I would. I envisioned myself shooting a wedding, but did I think by the end of the year I would end up as a third shooter once, a second shooter 5 times, shooting my very first small wedding to shooting a wedding in Palm Springs… um no! I am so GRATEFUL.
This post is dedicated to YOU! This is to each and every one of YOU who trusted me, who allowed me into your world of love and comfort so I can snap a few photos. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. You have helped make this dream come true, you have helped build the foundation to this journey. Also, thank you Robert for taking me along on some of your weddings. YOU ARE THE BEST! AND thank you Ala! If someone had told me I was going to shoot two weddings with you before 2011 was over I would have never believed it. Lucky me, I was able to learn from someone who takes risks, dreams big and does what she loves.
I’m thankful for how this year turned out with photography. Although sometimes I feel it is not happening fast enough, it is still happening and it is only the beginning. These pictures below may not be all the pictures I took this year, but each one I took has a story, so here is a few
. This is my story through pictures of people I connected with in someway. I just love all these people below! HA! Here’s to 2012!!!

Oh and thank you to my favorite model of all, MY ROXY

I still have a couple of 2011 weddings and family pictures to blog
coming soon!!
It really is the most wonderful time of the year. Nothing makes me happier than giving, family time and eating (I will regret that later). To me this time of year is comfy and sweet in every way. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I adore every minute of it. I love the old traditions with our families, but I must say it has been fun to create new ones for this family of 3
Ivan, Roxy and I wish you a sweet, warm and peaceful holiday. May you enjoy and cherish it where ever you may be.

“Merry everything, happy always!”
xoxo,
The Hernandez Family
